R.I.P. -Reggae legend Gregory Isaacs has died


Reggae legend Gregory Isaacs has died after a battle with cancer.
Isaacs, who was 59 years old, died on Monday morning at his home in London where he spent part of his time.
He leaves behind a wife and children.
Close friends told BBC Caribbean that he had originally been diagnosed with cancer of the liver which had then spread.
The Jamaican reggae singer, who was nicknamed the Cool Ruler, was best known for the song ‘Night Nurse’.

Gregory Isaacs (born Gregory Anthony Isaacs, 15 July 1951, Fletchers Land, Kingston, Jamaica – 25 October, 2010) was a Jamaican reggae musician. Milo Miles, writing in the New York Times, described Isaacs as “the most exquisite vocalist in reggae”. More at WIKI

  1. I remember watching & listening to Gregory as a kid, and following his story as he battled his demons, and through it all you were rooting for him, his talent was undeniable, I had a chance to see him live a few years ago in Toronto and he was indeed an exquisite vocalist.
