Dragonette “Let It Go” Stream

Canadian electro-pop trio Dragonette burst onto the music scene with their infectious hit “Hello,” a collaboration with Martin Solveig that hit Top 10 in over 30 countries and achieved platinum status in the US. Now, the band is back with a brand new single, Let It Go, an energetic pop anthem with a pulsing beat. Bridging the gap between 2009’sFixin To Thrill and the band’s highly anticipated third studio album, Let It Go will be released digitally on April 3rd.

Written and produced by Dragonette, Let It Go is a club-worthy track with a fist-pumping chorus and infectious rhythm. The single package contains remixes by Laidback Luke,The Knocks and Faustix & Imanos. For an early sneak peak, you can stream “Let It Go”

Jaded & James Petrou – Toni’s Pain (Beef Records) (Preview Clips)

Beef Records’ latest 12” brings a flavour of the underground sound of Sydney. Jaded & James Petrou are two guys behind the city’s infamous party Kinky Disco and have now locked themselves down in the studio to produce two hypnotic underground cuts.  ‘Toni’s Pain’is a moody, chugging deep house cut using a sample of Toni Braxton that twists her up in all sorts of new ways, while ‘Rollin Stone’ gives similar treatment to The Temptations/The Undisputed Truth’s classic vocal.  The title track comes backed by two of the most in demand artists right now – INXEC and No Artificial Colours.

First remixer INXEC (aka Chris Sylvester) is in a white-hot streak of form at the moment with particular highlights on Crosstown Rebelsand Leftroom.

The second remix is by the No Artificial Colours duo who are equally on form with recent plays of their groovy tracks by Jamie Jones, Lee Foss and Maya Jane Coles. The NAC remix of ‘Toni’s Pain’ is getting great support already and has been licensed for a future Ministry Of Sound compilation.

Beef Records is the label run by Shades Of Gray.  Established in 2006, they have worked with countless top artists including Pezzner, Trinity & Beyond, Scope, The Timewriter and Shur-I-Kan.

QuestionmarQ – Emotive Worlds EP

Vision Collective Recordings proudly presents the ‘Emotive Worlds EP’ by QuestionmarQ (aka Marq Walsh). Marq started his dj trade over two decades ago in probably Ireland’s best known Dance Club ‘Sir Henry’s’ in Cork City where he spent close to 8 years entertaining the Saturday night faithful and dj-ing with the biggest names in house music. Aswell as been a resident in Sir Henry’s, Marq has held residencies in several clubs around Ireland including U2′s club ‘The Kitchen’ in Dublin as part of Genius and has guested in Boston & New York on numerous occasions. He has been producing tracks under the guise of ‘QuestionmarQ’ for a number of years and has had previous releases charted by the likes of Nick Warren & Silicone Soul amongst others. The ‘Emotive Worlds EP’ showcases this fine producers range and versatility with fi ve outstanding tracks each with their own unique vibe and style which is reflective of Marq’s dj sets. The EP is due for release on the 2nd April 2012.

 

VCRD005: ‘Emotive Worlds’ EP features 5 new tracks from established producer ‘QuestionmarQ‘. The opening track ‘Law Of The Worlds‘ (Original Mix) has a deep and funky groove with subtle touches and style with a spoken word sample. ‘Law Of The Worlds (Verma’s Fluffed Up Mix) is Mick Verma‘s excellent rework adding new colours and vibe to the original. The third track ‘Maydayz‘ takes the EP in another direction with a darker techhouse groove with elements of the early Detroit sound. The fourth track ‘Do It‘ is a techno influenced groover with old school breakdowns designed with the dancefloor firmly in mind. The final track ‘Emotive‘ wraps up the EP with a more minimal techhouse cut featuring atmospheric strings and synths.
