Within the world of electronic music, Will Saul is perhaps best known for Aus Music and Simple Records, the labels he set up and has A&Red for over a decade. Between them there have been over 100 vinyl releases from the influential likes of Joy Orbison, Carl Craig, Pearson Sound, Scuba and Actress, as well as EPs that helped to break upcoming talents like Bicep, Dusky, Midland and George FitzGerald. As well as releasing a constant stream of on-point remixes and 12”s throughout his career, Will is also an experienced DJ who honed his trade as resident for 3 years at London’s legendary The End before it closed in 2009. Since then, he has continued to play across the globe at influential night spots like fabric in London, Club Eleven in Tokyo, Chinese Laundry in Australia and Berlin’s famed Berghain.

Getting Closer will be Will’s first full-length album since Space Between, released under his given name back in 2005. He has slowly and anonymously leaked CLOSE material into the public sphere over the last 12 months; including remixes of Fink, Little Dragon and Hotflush boss Scuba. The alias was initially conceived in order to release music that would be judged on merit alone, rather than on the name to which it was attached, but following great reactions was increasingly difficult to keep secret. Proceeded mid April by first single ‘Beam Me Up’ Feat. Charlene Soraia and Scuba (with remixes by George FitzGerald, Hercules and Love Affair and Scuba) the album marks a big evolution in Saul’s sound, leaning away from bass and house and more toward a world of dark yet idyllic pop.

Ejeca – Frequency EP (Preview)+ Hi Rollin (Official Video)

Last Night On Earth add yet more undeniable talent on the cusp of serious recognition, as they release Ejeca’s latest EP ‘Frequency’ Out Now.

In recent months Ejeca has been thrust into the limelight following an outstanding collaboration with Bicep, with his solo work receiving high praise from the likes of Pete Tong,  Jackmaster and of course, Sasha.

Last Night On Earth continues to support and pluck artists that are turning heads, with Ejeca at the forefront of ushering in the recent heavy 90’s revival. His nu-house, garage style is ever present in his latest ‘Frequency’ EP.

The first two tracks ‘Hi Rollin’ and ‘Neva 2 Far’ are dripping with classic vocals and vintage house sound. ‘Nassau Storm’ brings a dubby side to the EP, while ‘Time For Change’ adds calming intelligent beats fused with soul.

Love System Festival 2013, Croatia (May 29th – June 3rd)

Love System is a brand new European festival taking place just outside the beautiful Croatian town of Petrcane, tucked into the Adriatic coastline. The vision is to create an immersive experience for avid followers of house music and all its various guises. Love System takes place in the never-before-used Punta Radman wood. The shaded, intimate site contains a maze of bars, stages and chill-out areas nestled in between the trees. Venture further into the wood and, without a building in sight, punters spill out onto the coast where the main stage lies floating over the Adriatic. Here, festival-goers will have the opportunity to dance the day and night away to the beat of electronic music’s elite, caressed by the afternoon summer sun or the blissful Croatian night-time. Shonky, Bicep, Ralph Lawson, Mario Basanov, Ben Pearce and Finnebassen are just some of the names to grace the floating stage.

In true Croatian style, Love System wouldn’t be complete without a boat party, so we have decided to bring you eight. Hosted by some of the most esteemed labels and party brands in the UK, including Jaunt, Underground, Kumasi and Bad Apple, the Love System fleet sets sail twice daily. Catch George Fitzgerald representing his ManMakeMusic label alongside Trikk, roll up for Ben Pearce and the Tom Demac Live show with Micron, indulge yourself with French house groover Shonky on the 2020Vision cruise, or see UK funky don Ossie together with Berliner Sven Weisemann smash up the Flux boat.

Love System is more than just a festival; it is a holiday as well. There is a range of beautiful apartments and villas just minutes from the site, allowing revellers all the comforts and luxuries they could want. Alternatively, camping is available next to the site for those looking to enjoy the Croatian summer. Travel packages including transfers from Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle to London airports, and coaches to the site, are available to make booking your time at Love System as easy as possible. Zadar is the closest Croatian airport and is just 15 minutes from the festival site with return flight prices from the UK currently around £120, and new direct routes from Liverpool and East Midlands airports to Zadar launch at the beginning of April. Split and Zagreb are the other two closest Croatian airports.

The Love System pre-party takes place on the evening of Wednesday 29th May, before 4 full days and nights of music begin on the festival site from 11am on Thursday 30th May. Love System boat parties run from 1pm-5pm and 6pm-10pm daily between the Thursday and Sunday, and Monday is chill time!

Bicep -You / Don’t on Aus Music+Preview

London-based, Belfast-born blogger-production duo Matt McBriar and Andy Ferguson need little by way of introduction. They1ve released one absolutely killer track after another, snaking through everything from deep disco edits to moody two-step to classic New Jersey House vibes with incredible ease, on some of the most exciting labels out there: Throne of Blood, Under the Shade, Domino, Love Fever and now,Aus Music. This EP sees the pair working in collaboration with fellow Northern Irish producer Ejeca (aka Garry McCartney), as well as the inimitable Serge Santiago (in his Omar Odyssey guise), with Panorama Bar resident Steffi rounding off the release perfectly with a superbly crafted remix.
