Click Therapy boss Lee Guthrie is back once again under his own name for the label’s twelfth installment.  His ‘Meltdown EP’ showcases four tracks rich in dark tech-house moods and underground attitude.

One year on from Click Therapy’s launch Lee’s productions have reached DJs around the globe. With releases under his own name and his Digital Dirt moniker Lee is rapidly establishing his name with discerning tech house followers, receiving support from some of house and techno’s elite including Richie Hawtin, Layo & Bushwacka, Paco Osuna, Slam, Stacey Pullen, Luciano, M.A.N.D.Y, X-Press 2, Terry Francis, Nathan Coles, Inland Knights, Silicone Soul and many more. His dark, moody and percussive sound, which has drawn comparisons to the US West Coast movement in the early 00′s, will also grace underground house labels including 3am Recordings, Midnight Social Recordings and Dizzy Funk Music in the next few months.

Lee Guthrie – Bad Navigation EP (Preview Clips)

Click Therapy Recordings’ eighth release sees another EP from label boss Lee Guthrie, whose recent productions have been turning the heads of DJs including Richie Hawtin, Bushwacka, X-Press 2, Roger Sanchez, Stacey Pullen and Terry Francis.  The three-track ‘Bad Navigation EP’ has a distinct early 2000’s West Coast flavour – deep, dark and groovy with rolling percussion.

Lee reveals: “The West Coast sound was a massive influence to me in the late nineties/ early noughties with labels like Siesta, Tango, Moody, Doubledown and Electrik Soul laying down some of the foundations of the tech-house sound that we know today. Producers central to the scene like Halo, Hipp-E, Tony and Onionz were also massive influences, releasing music that appealed to both the deep house and tech house/techno audiences and championed at the Tyrant nights at The Bomb and Fabric.”

The sound’s ability to fuse house and techno, forged its way to become the main sound of the DUBDUP parties that Lee co-promoted in the noughties.

This record points heavily towards those influences whilst still holding a modern tech-house edge in ‘Bad Navigation’ and ‘That’s Debatable’. Lee always likes to keep one of the tracks deeper on each EP and ‘Soul On The Dole’ is the cut this time around.

As Click Therapy continues to gain pace, there are plans in the pipeline for a series of remixes from some well established artists when the label celebrates its tenth release this winter.
