Eglo Records will be taking over the Jazz Cafe for a special night of live music. The labels resident queen of soul, Fatima, headlines, premiering songs from her forthcoming album set to drop later in the year. New Jersey vocalist Peter Hadar will be special guest, making his debut UK appearance, both backed by the Eglo Live Band. DJ support comes from label boss and Rinse FM resident Alexander Nut as well as performances from Hip Hop new comers Strange U and a few surprise guests.

Well so go the lyrics for the title track of this latest outing from the multitalented Nico Luminous that will have most folks appreciating ‘trap-esque’ music in a whole new way, especially when it’s delivered as a futuristic super-funk version of soul music with a fair amount of ‘Glitch’ and ‘Dub’ influences thrown in for good measure.
Nico Luminous has a signature style of “Glitch-a-delic Soul Whomp” that fuses melodic progressions, futuristic sound design and organic elements into sexy bass rollers and some epic drops. His DJ sets are geared toward Dubstep and Glitch Hop with a psychedelic twist. As a Beatboxer/MC, Nico uses his custom effects pedal belt to live loop his beatboxing and vocals skills into crunked out hip-hop rhythms that add a unique ‘organic’ feel to his show. Currently on a US national tour with Lafa Taylor, catch Nico Luminous at a venue or festival near you when you can, you will not be disappointed.
The boys are currently recording their album in Red Bull Studios, London and will be taking in dates across the UK and Europe this Summer, including the likes of Creamfields, Hideout and Reading & Leeds.

Having released the first taste of their new material as a free download just a couple of weeks ago – the mesmerising, percussive ‘Made to Stray’, Mount Kimbie now reveal ‘Blood and Form’ from their forthcoming second album.
As with ‘Made to Stray’, ‘Blood and Form’ marks a noticeable shift in the duo’s use of vocals; the melodies are equally hypnotic but ‘Blood and Form’ has a raw and hazy edge. Listening to the two tracks side by side shows the evolution of Mount Kimbie’s sound and the breadth of their new material.

Ahead of their headline US tour and forthcoming Friday night appearances at Coachella which features their explosive new live show, TNGHT wanted to share new music with their fans.
“Acrylics” evokes the spirit of late 90s UK happy hardcore whilst still maintaining the distinctive widescreen cinematics and percussive hip hop bounce which saw their 2012 EP become a defining release and cement the duo as the new production favorites of rappers from Kanye West to Lil Wayne to Kendrick Lamar.
As two of the most exciting artists in urban electronic music Glaswegian Hudson Mohawke and Montreal native Lunice came together last year as TNGHT to launch an all out assault on the world hip hop production – backing this up with an incendiary live show that they showcased last summer. Although both are well established as solo artists, this project gave them both an opportunity to indulge their more decadent tendencies.
TNGHT will also be appearing at selected festival dates throughout summer 2013, and stay tuned for more music.
