The Rapture Shares “Sail Away” EP Stream, Playing Coachella + West Coast Dates w/ Justice

The Rapture is following up their critically-acclaimed album In The Grace Of Your Love with a remix EP for “Sail Away,” which features re-workings of the single by Cut Copy, Cosmic Kids and Aeroplane. You can head over to DFA’s soundcloud page to stream the full EP , which sees a digital release on January 17th. The Rapture is also playing Coachella on April 13 and 20, along with two additional tour dates with Justice in Oakland and Las Vegas.

Last month, The Rapture also shared the video for “Sail Away,” which is their first official music video in five years. The video follows the band on a fantasy-ride through the streets of Brooklyn, with Luke Jenner sailing the streets on a silver mylar pillow. And that’s not all- did we mention the magical conch shell and ram’s horn?!

The Rapture recently shared “How Deep Is Your Love?,” the first album track from In The Grace Of Your Love, along with Emperor Machine’s remix of the track via Adult Swim (downloads for both below!). Now, we’re excited to share the news of The Rapture’s first full U.S. tour in support of the album, which will see them on the road from late September through October!

 
The band has set the bar high with the first track, but this is just the beginning.  Produced by Philippe Zdar (Phoenix, Beastie Boys, Chromeo), the writing and recording process for In The Grace Of Your Love connected the band back to why they started playing music in the first place. Drummer Vito Roccoforte explains that they “focused on the process more than the results. We approached the album in a fearless manner, with nothing to lose.” By recapturing the fun and love for the process, the results were definitely a win.

The Rapture have announced the release details for their long awaited third album In The Grace Of Your Love on September 6^th through DFA Records.
 
The release of In The Grace Of Your Love marks the dawn of a new chapter in the bands history and a welcome return to DFA Records, having re-signed with the label that released some of their most acclaimed early singles, and whose founders James Murphy & Tim Goldsworthy produced their debut album Echoes. This an exciting release for the DFA familiy who will also be celebrating that same month the iconic label’s 10th Anniversary.
 
Together with French producer Philippe Zdar (Phoenix, Beastie Boys, Chromeo) they have crafted and shaped a bold & euphoric album that sounds definitively & distinctly like The Rapture and no one else. Through the course of its eleven tracks, you can immerse yourself as waves of lyrical optimism & introspection crash between angular guitars & pulsing synthesizers, pounding drums & into sweet rhythmical lullabies. This is the sound of The Rapture re-engaged and revitalized with a voice as clear as they ever had.
