Electronic Music Group and The Warehouse Project set sail on a dual mission to bring the best electronic artists to Croatia as their debut Hideout Festival conquers its shores on 1st – 3rd July 2011.

Croatia is fast becoming the epicenter for young music lovers as a new and exciting destination to explore during the summer. With a range of established boutique festivals nearby, the new Hideout festival speaks to the heart of electronic music fans securing the most cutting-edge artists and outfits from every genre of the underground dance music community.

Friday opens proceedings with the godfather of techno Sven Vath supported by Wax:On residents People Get Real. One third of award-winning band The XX, Jamie XX, performs outside for Resident Advisor’s takeover of Aquarius stage, fresh from his stunning new album with Gil-Scott Heron alongside deep house don and Innervisions frontman, Dixon and the Bristol’s dubstep pioneer, Julio Bashmore. The much-lauded Chase & Status, who have achieved an anthemic no 2 single and album of late and worked with the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Plan B, Tinie Tempah and Cee Lo Green take centre stage on Ibiza’s Reclaim The Dancefloor area alongside BBC Radio 1’s Toddla T. Joining them will be young bassline pioneers Nero, Friction, Rattus Rattus & Klose One and new super talents Modestep.

Some stellar unannounced guests are yet to be announced on Saturday for Hideout promising to blow all other festival programmes out of the water. King of the electro circuit, Erol Alkan joins Radio 1 queen, Annie Mac and disco heroes Aeroplane and Eskimo Twins, who all promise to deliver some fine flavours on the outdoor Aquarius stage. Simian Mobile Disco bring their enigmatic partnership to Hideout following their swift rise to prominence over the past few years. On the Metropolis stage, Aussie bassline masterminds Pendulum join female Brit & Mobo award winner, Ms Dynamite, who has scored chart hits with Katy B and Zinc in recent months. Fabric resident and dubstep luminary, Caspa, steps up with UK icon Redlight, who starred on the cover of DJ mag last year and Sub Focus, hailed for his club anthems, ‘Could This Be Real’ and ‘Splash’ joing Metropolis regular, Mak.

Pitching up on Sunday are label of the moment, Crosstown Rebels featuring head honcho, Damian Lazarus. The label’s young prodigies have become techno’s new elite, showcased at Hideout in Jamie Jones and Detroit’s Seth Troxler, who are also DC10’s newest residents. 2011’s newest stars Art Department pen their ‘gothic house’ sound with this year’s BBC Introducing talent, Robert James.

For fans of drum & bass and dubstep, Hideout’s Ape stage brings the veteran crew out to play on Sunday unveiling the legendary Andy C, one of D&B’s original heroes joined by the similarly prolific Shy FX, who enjoyed a string of chart successes with their appealing sound. More jungle delights come from leader of the pack, Joker, Breakage and Hospital Records maestro, Danny Byrd on the Ape stage. Wax:on stamp their identity on the main stage with an exclusive duo yet to be announced, Italian heroes, Crookers and the raw talent Fake Blood alongside Eskimo Twins. The Warehouse Project and Electronic Music Group have utilised their wealth of experience to bring together the most prolific stars of the past, present and future in a new idyllic spot in a line up of epic proportions, never seen before in Croatia.

Hideout takes place from Friday 1st July until Sunday 3rd July at a brand new location on the beautiful Zrce beach on the Island of Pag. The west coast of the Adriatic Sea is renowned for its crystal clear waters and picturesque rugged shoreline. Hideout festival 2011 is perched on one of finest beaches in the area that runs the entire length of the island and is surrounded by a variety of bars, restaurants, watersports and attractions.

The site features two vast outdoor stages, one indoor/ outdoor venue with views over the sea, two outdoor swimming pools, and large VIP area. Artists will perform from sunrise to sunset at special daytime events on the beach, numerous daily boat parties, as well as on the main festival site. The Chemical Brothers said of the location, “When we die we want our fans to come and listen to our music in Club Papaya”.

Hideout will bring 10,000 attendees from all over Europe in the most exciting and innovative festival project outside of the UK this summer. The only place to find first appearances and exclusive performances from the cream of future talent, it has the perfect recipe for those seeking a new adventure, in a serene setting, with all the best musical ingredients.
Tickets go on sale at 11am on Thursday 24th February with the full line up, stages, accommodation and travel details announced at this time.
Hideout festival 2011 combines two of the leading companies in the UK events market, Electronic Music Group and The Warehouse Project, who are already responsible for club brands Metropolis and Wax:On, Manchester’s Warehouse Project and Parklife Festival, as well as the Reclaim the Dancefloor brand in Ibiza.

The Warehouse Project History:

In the autumn of 2006, three event promoters embarked on a project that has changed the face of Manchester1s club scene and had a huge effect on the UK and beyond. Launching with the slogan ‘For twelve weeks this city is ours’ the Warehouse Project set out to establish a ‘guerrilla’ style club that was to run every Friday and Saturday night for a three month period each year. Just as it was five years ago when they opened those gates to Boddingtons, The Warehouse Project remains a big experiment. One that continues to evolve organically and never really knows exactly how it1s going to turn out.

Electronic Music Group History

Two of the UKs leading club promoters, Wax:On and Metropolis have joined forces to form Electronic Music Group Ltd. Electronic Music Group are dedicated to keeping the UK club scene vibrant, forwardthinking exciting by scheduling, booking and promoting a wide range of events such as Wax:On, Metropolis, Musicology, Jagerbomb, Annie Mac Presents, Reclaim The Dancefloor – Ibiza, Hospitality Leeds and Cocoon Newcastle; alongside various exciting Record Labels and representing and managing a range of artists.
