Download:Scuba’s Ibiza After Hours Mix for IMS
In advance of his appearance at IMS this weekend, Scuba recorded this mix which French magazine Tsugi released in their podcast series
L-System is proud to announce it’s third release Nice View by DJ, producer and all around ladies man, Chris Gavin! Chris hails from Marseille, France and is often supported by DJs such as Laurent Garnier, Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo and more. This release kicks off with Nice View; a cross genre hard to pin gem that you can drop peak time or early night with killer results. Chris follows up with a B-Side track called The Present M. We fell in love with this deep quirky house track at first listen. A truly unique journey that takes you far away while still being dance floor ready.
We’re extremely excited to have to two accomplished and amazing producers on remix duties.
To start things off we have Omid 16b who has reworked Nice View into two absolute masterpieces. Over at L-System we’re a huge fan of Omid 16b’s sound and sought him out for the unique sound he’s famous for world over. Omid’s first mix is filled with upbeat melodic synths mixed in with driving classic drum machine sounds that mix with any house genre. His remix reprise is the ultimate set starter that takes a turn to the dark side halfway through.
Next we have Martin Roth remixing Nice View into a deep house track that strongly carries his signature sound. Slow driving synths and pads drive this unique dance track that keeps the vibe up while still delivering the underground smoothness that Martin knows best.

Crosstown Rebels infamous Get Lost series returns with a new episode delving into the more obscure and rare choices from the award-winning crossover dance act and old friend of the label, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs. Get Lost VI is a double disc compilation full of rarities and cutting edge house and techno carefully chosen and collated by TEED aka Orlando Higginbottom, including a new exclusive track made by him together with Eats Everything that will be released as a single on the label.
Crosstown Rebels’ seminal Get Lost series has previously featured quirky artists and musical hedonists Jamie Jones, Acid Pauli, Dinky and the label head Damian Lazarus. Each episode invites the artist to share new insights into their musical personality and indulge in their more distinctive and eccentric choices. Get Lost is also a renowned series of global events. “I couldn´t think of a better home for my first dj comp mix or whatever they´re called, Get Lost is a brilliant series with an intriguing past (and future). I´m very grateful to Damian and Crosstown Rebels for the opportunity, and excited for people to hear it,” comments TEED.
The eclectic first disc showcases the likes of Gold Panda, LFO and rare solo work from Art Department’s Kenny Glasgow as well as subtle additions such as a fascinating monologue from the notorious psychedelic scholarTerence McKenna. Whilst disc two returns to the dancefloor driven that TEED has become infamous for including a huge Breach remix of Jamie Jones, Ame rework of Tiga and heavyweight meeting of Subb-an & Tom Trago featuring Seth Troxler. The culmination of both hours makes for a timeless asset of electronic mastery available on CD, on vinyl and digitally.
“The Get Lost album project is a very special one for me and demands the most forward thinking artists to take on. TEED proved with his debut album that he is an electronic visionary and now he shows us the inside of his mind as a DJ – we all need to take note at this double album of brilliance.” Damian Lazarus

NME named TEED “One of the UK’s most exciting young producers”when he delivered his debut electronic artist album, ‘Trouble’ in 2012. It was since awarded #1 Electronic Album Of The Year by iTunes and DJ Mag and met with critical acclaim in many end of year charts including #5 in the BBC Album Of The Year Poll, #38 in NME, included in Q’s end of 2012 roundup and in the Top 10 Timeout Albums Of The Year.
Dinky makes her evolution from inaugural DJ to singer songwriter and front stage performer with ‘Dimension D’ on Visionquest.
The project shows a tender side to the Chilean mistress and unravels a voice as delicate as paper caught dancing in the wind. Within each track she transforms into a new character to tell complex stories about relationships and encounters, capturing episodes of her life from New York to Berlin and back to her Chilean roots. Dinky structures the music with the looseness of jazz, the ethereal vocals of modern stars such as Beth Gibbons and Goldfrapp, while softly embedding the rhythm of the night.
Alejandra Del Pilar Iglesias Rivera was named Dinky by her sister at birth. Born and raised in Santiago, Chile, as a child she studied Ballet and the Suzuki method of piano before relocating to New York to become a contemporary dancer.
Her drive to make music brought her to Berlin a decade ago where she quickly became a dominant force in dance music, making her mark through releases on Carpark, Cocoon, Ostgut, and the critically acclaimed ‘Anemik’ album in 2009 on Mathew Jonson’s Wagon Repair. Her fifth studio album, ‘Dimensions’ sees her evolve into singersongwriter and performer and take on a new musical direction.
Long term friends with the Visionquest collective from their hedonistic days residing in Berlin, Dinky’s fresh approach fits within their ethereal and otherworldly style and follows the Footprintz album earlier this year.
Matthew Styles also coproduced and mixed the album and will perform the album live in a series of dates this summer.
DINKY ON DIMENSION D
“Dimension D” is a space where darkness and lightens meet and coexist. In each song there is a different story, personality and voice but they are also all one person who is changing their skin as time passes by.
It took me almost 3 years to complete this album. I wanted to take my music to a new level, detach myself from the rules of dance music and submerge myself in fantasy. During the last few years I have been studying jazz, classical guitar & piano, as well as trained in singing to perfect my own style of performing and songwriting. I grew up with bands like Cocteau Twins, The Cramps, Massive Attack, Chris Isaak and Mazzy Star and those influences are a big part of my musical identity.
I also love surf music, especially the dreamy guitar tone that resembles the sea waves. I used a lot of guitar in the album, mainly in an unconventional way so it transforms into something else. I am inspired by nature and tried to achieve natural sounds; the sea, insects, forest and animals ,these are all music to my ears.”

Martsman – Shrank / NYCD – Pushing Red May 2013
Berlin based Martsman steps up for the latest techno release on Pushing Red. “Shrank” and “NYCD” both weigh in at less than 130 BPM despite bucket loads of shuffle. You’d be forgiven for describing these sounds as garagey. Shrank has some uplifting progression and plenty of hi-hats and NYCD backs it all up nicely with some dub influenced tripped out sounds. Another top release from Pushing Red. Their third this year in fact.
