In need of a festival weapon? Look no further! Dirty House bastard Vato Gonzalez takes on The 2 Bears, a project by Raf Rundell and Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard. He adds his signature dirty house bass line to their infectious ‘Take a look around’ hook, turning the original into an absolute festival anthem which you will see many punters chanting along to this summer! Trust us: no field or tent is safe for this monster of a remix. Out soon on Southern Fried Records.
For those who loved his ‘Rasclat Riddim’ collabo with Diplo, Vato Gonzalez drops his remix for ‘Dyna, Flava & Tjen – Runway’ six weeks ahead of release on his Dirty House label (June 11 2012). He takes the original and dips it in his Moombahconjo sauce. Download the remix for FREE if you’re curious to find out what that means! Also check out Vato Gonzalez’ ‘Blow Ya Stereo’ release on Laidback Luke’s Mixmash Records, which got its release just two weeks ago on Beatport. Can your speakers handle it?
Vato Gonzalez is back, creating an underground buzz with ‘Digital Lies’ on Fatboy Slim’s Southern Fried Records before he drops his official follow up to ‘Badman Riddim’.
“Youtube, Twitter and Facebook; do we all live digital lives – or digital lies?” Inspired by the enormous amount of self-fabricated overhypes around mediocre events and copy/paste music - Vato Gonzalez & Aldair Silva keep it real deep with this dark and techy tune on Norman Cook’s Southern Fried Records, showcasing the versatility of the Dirty House bastard as a producer. Vato Gonzalez of ‘Badman Riddim’ fame delivers a straight up club banger called The Moombahstard.
This new Vato Gonzalez club banger comes with a little upfront warning. It might be the end of your speakers! The first time the song got played was during the official Dirty House ‘Most Wanted’ European tour and it deep fried the monitor speakers straight to the scrapyard. The Moombahstard is built around a sample from ‘Maria Lionza’ by Rubén Blades and Willie Colón, taken from their much praised classic album ‘Siembra’ of the late ’70s. The sample was originally dug out of the dusty crates by Dutch DJ/Producer Flexican for a Dutch hiphop production in 2007, but 5 years after the release of that tune it was time for an international rework, a club banger!
