Adele fans won’t be seeing the British singer unfurl her tales of heartbreak in person anytime soon, as the 23-year-old is in the middle of “an extended rest period” due to a hemorrhaged vocal chord. In the meantime, Adele’s live show will be captured in “Live At The Royal Albert Hall,” a concert CD/DVD due out Nov. 29 on XL/Columbia Records.
The DVD and Blu Ray will include Adele’s full 90-minute performance from her Sept. 22 show at the Royal Albert Hall in London. The accompanying 17-track album features a mix of the singer’s “19″ and “21″ hits, as well as covers of Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me” and The Steeldrivers’ “If It Hadn’t Been For Love.”
“21,” Adele’s sophomore album released in February, returns to the top spot on the Billboard 200 this week, marking its 13th week at No. 1. With 4.1 million copies sold according to Nielsen SoundScan, “21″ is easily the year’s biggest-selling album, and has moved twice as many copies as the runner-up, Gaga’s “Born This Way” (1.9 million).
