Subterra is quickly gaining a reputation for being one of the most respected young DJ’s within the scene, with a wealth of bookings across the country and worldwide including the likes of Eastern Europe and South America. With moves into production underway plus the running of his own night and involvement in countless other areas of the scene the future looks set to be very busy for the man from Guildford.

From early beginnings playing on the likes of N Joi FM, Flex FM and early residency at local Surrey Uni night,Presha, Subterra swiftly moved up through the ranks with guest appearances at the likes of Movement and One Nation’s New Nation before launching his own night in 2004, Rotation, a Guildford based night which is still going strong into 2007.

After adding residencies at heavyweight clubs and events such as Breakin Science, Ministry of Sound, Innovation and Essence Of Chi to his belt as well as a regular Rude FM show and appearances on Ministry Of Sound Radio, Subterra became label manager for Zinc’s Bingo Beats in 2006. After running the show at Bingo for just under a year, Subterra felt the time was right to move into production full time and is working hard on several projects including remixes for Sudden Def and his debut release forthcoming on Sudden Def’s offshoot label Def LTD and Ram Records offshoot Frequency Recordings.

With main arena bookings pouring in and a healthy DJ schedule across the UK and abroad expect to hear a lot more of the name Subterra.

New York’s reignited love affair with disco has been going strong for more than a decade now, and My Cousin Roy has been right in the thick of it. As head of the Wurst label, Roy has played a key role in the scene’s thriving re-edit culture while also overseeing some of NY’s most legendary parties. This past winter he was holed up in the studio, often with fellow NYC DJ/producer Nick Chacona, with whom he operates under the name Beg to Differ. But now that spring has arrived, more releases from Wurst and Beg to Differ—some of which are previewed in this exclusive mix—are on the way. In the meantime, My Cousin Roy is in Europe, where he’s kicking off a tour this week. For those of us on this side of the pond, we’ll have to tide ourselves over with this hour-long mix of disco, house, electro-funk, and more until the man returns Stateside.

Also returning to the fold are tracks with Joel Cadbury, former South frontman; Gavin Clark, former Clayhill frontman; ELLE J of dark folk-rock group Dark Horses; and, Los Angeles based art noise-pop trio Autolux.
