Huoratron -Prevenge EP+Corporate Occult Video for free

Posted in News with tags , , , , , , , on May 26, 2010 by E.N.

LAST GANG RECORDS PENS DEAL WITH HUORATRON AND ANNOUNCES DELUXE “PREVENGE” EP PACKAGE
Deluxe “PREVENGE” EP Digital Release On June 8th;
Release “Corporate Occult” Short Film Online For Free Today (Below);
Debut Full-Length Slated For Early 2011

Last Gang Records is pleased to announce a multi-release deal with Finnish producer and executioner Huoratron (pronounced whore – a – tron). Setting the stage for the full-length release in early 2011, Last Gang will release PREVENGE, a deluxe digital masterpiece containing Huoratron’s previously released EPs Corporate Occult and $$ Troopers. The release will be available digitally on June 8th. In celebration of the releases, Huoratron is offering up a taste by way of a short film for the first single “Corporate Occult”.

not be suitable for most viewers Check Warning:

    Forged from the flames of darkness, Huoratron is the solo project of Finland’s Aku Raski, who began using two Game Boy consoles to produce experimental and dark electro. Since then, he’s risen from the digital underground and updated his gear while maintaining the pure black sound and raw aesthetics. As a founding member of New Judas Records, Huoratron has found its place among the movement in pulsating electronic dance music taking the stage on an international level.
    Clocking in at over five minutes and directed by Cédric Blaisbois, the “Corporate Occult” film may not be suitable for most viewers. Urgent and impulsive like Huoratron’s soundscapes, the short exposes the demonized side flesh, sex and excess.

Scuba – Eclipse / Tense (Ramadanman Remix) – ABUCS007 (Preview)

Posted in News with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , on May 26, 2010 by E.N.

Released on 12″ Vinyl on 31st May 2010
Scuba continues his stream of underground techno influenced releases with a release on his mysterious Vinyl Only label Abucs. As ever theres a smooth and deep atmosphere going on here and a distinctly 80s vibe on this occasion, very reminiscent of the type of sound dBridges Nonplus label is currently releasing. On the flip current producer of the moment Ramadanman (Hessle Audio, Hemlock Recordings, Swamp81) steps up to remix Scubas Tense, the mechanical and robotic drum pattern is overlaid with Scubas trademark Detroit Synths to create an image of an Industrialised Berlin landscape.

ALBUM DESCRIPTION:

Fresh off his hiatus in Berlin, Derek Marin has returned to the studio to turn out his second release on the Subtrak imprint. The title track of the D In To D Out EP is a slow burning Tech House rainmaker with catchy synths laid over a carefully layered bed of echoeing breakbeats and rolling bass rhythms. Derek, never content with one version, contributes the bass wobbled Sideview Remix and the stripped down Platonik Remix with is sure to be a late night crowd pleaser. Additional remixes by rising Sleaze Records’ Hans Bouffmyhre, Techno veteran Alexi Delano, Adam Collins and gthm round out the EP. Arguably one of Subtrak’s strongest releases to date, it is a must have for any Techno DJ’s collection.

BIOGRAPHY:

Derek Marin, American House and Techno music producer/DJ, was born Derek Richard Maringelli in Manhattan, New York in 1974. Coming from a musical household, his father, Paul Joseph Maringelli, influenced and nurtured Derek’s natural talent and passion for music from an early age. He began playing drums at age nine and by the age of fourteen, he was playing in a number of bands. The Techno rage that took over NYC in 1991 inspired Derek to step out from the background and create his own style and music. He honed his production skills, recording, mixing and editing in the studio. As a result, he has been recognized as a top DJ/Producer in New York’s electronic music community since 1994. His outstanding creativity and style in remixing has gained him releases on many well respected underground electronic labels around the world. In 2001, after winning Mixer Magazine’s “Best New DJ” award in 2001, Marin established his own imprint, Faucet Music, with sub labels Modest Music and Sideviewer Records. He is best known for his productions on the Tech House labels Plastic City, Intrinsic Design, Matterform as well as his unofficial remixes of Daft Punk, Depeche Mode, Junior Boys and his productions under the alias Sideview. In 2009, Derek was invited to release “Bright Lights, Dark Room” on Subtrak Records. The limited vinyl release including remixes by The Pale, Hans Bouffmyhre and Osborne was heralded by MBeat as “one of this summer’s most exciting releases” and Bruce Tantum of Time Out NY said Derek’s “original mix is a lean and angular, Detroit-tinged track full of inventive, unexpected twists and turns.” Since this release, he has joined Subtrak as head of A & R where his talent for finding new and exciting sounds/artists will be put to good use.
