Detroit House Music Producer – DJ – Singer – Songwriter Aaron-Carl -RIP
“Metro Detroit native Aaron-Carl began his music career in 1996, when he signed to Soul City Records, a label owned by Underground Resistance’s Mad Mike Banks. Refusing to be boxed into just one style, Aaron quickly made a name for himself by releasing his first two records — both completely different genres, at the same time. Crucified, a deep soulful vocal anthem, met instant critical acclaim; while Down, an explicit electro-house track (the b-side to Wash It), became — and remains one of Aaron’s biggest records to date.”
Aaron-Carl Discusses Recent Cancer Diagnosis (9/25/2010)
Last Message From Aaron Carl
I’m sure by now you’ve heard the news, but I wanted to make sure you heard it from me. After having to cancel my European tour and going in and out of the hospital for the past couple weeks, we now know why. Thursday, September 23, 2010, I was officially diagnosed with cancer.
They found the cancer cells in the fluid they drew from around my lung, which is consistent with lymphoma. In the next few days, I’ll return to the hospital to get a bone marrow biopsy to determine exactly which type of lymphoma I have, what stage, etc, so we can figure out how to best treat it.
I convinced them to let me come home from the hospital. I wanted to spend time with my family and friends, in my own territory. I’m not gonna overwork myself — I will focus on getting better, but I just couldn’t stand laying up in that hospital bed. Mentally, it only made things worse for me. People came to see me, yes. But when everyone was gone, and it was just me — I was terrified. So terrified, I now have to take blood pressure medication.
For those who know me, you know I’m a fighter. I’ve fought all of my life, for everything. I’m not gonna stop now. I admit, this is one of the scariest things to admit or to even face. Me. Cancer. Wow…
I’ve tried my best to keep you updated via my facebook page, Twitter, etc. And I must thank you ALL for all of your words of encouragement and support. For years, I’ve noticed I was “hated.” Now at this time in my life, I realize that I’m actually loved.
We’ll talk more, as I know more. Thanks, and much love…
For many men, it is still a nightmare, to be brought by a woman in soccer. Melody Donchet is therefore of the greatest nightmare for every soccer macho.
The 20-year-old Frenchwoman is one of the few women in the circus of freestyle football. She kicked ten years for the club — to the doctor for a knee injury football ban debate. But the round ball left Melody not let go. According to an advertisement on television, she was clear for that freestyle football world would be their new. Meanwhile Melody is in their country as one of the best of their craft. With this video they will surely soon to the YouTube sensation.
House Of X-PRESS 2 Presents:
X-PRESS 2 v Tim Deluxe
‘Tone Head Chemistry / Siren Track’
29th November 2010
Welcome back X-Press 2.
It’s been some time coming, but it sure was worth the wait. After 12 months writing X-Press 2 are back at the helm of UK house once again. This is their first official single since the underground masterpieces ‘Down The Whole’ and ‘Playmates At The Supermarket’ (APDW & XP2) some 2.5 years ago. Both tracks see them team up with Tim Deluxe for the first collaboration that’s going to see Rocky and Diesel building a collection of dancefloor singles of significance in 2011. These 2 tracks are firmly aimed at the floor, and a great snippet of where the guys are taking things.
Ah, the drop. Rocky and Diesel need little introduction to anyone who’s had the pleasure of them taking them by the hand and subtly dragging them headlong through the dry ice to that special place in space and time they call ‘the drop’. Both ‘Tone Head Chemistry’ and ‘Siren Track’ are (much Like X-Press 2’s career) defined by brilliant drops. It’s all about big, chunky, warm house that’s going to work on terraces later this summer, and main floors this autumn.
With so much good music arriving in the Exit inbox it was decided that a various artist project was needed to ensure that it all sees the light of day and doesn’t get caught up in a never ending schedule of singles.
As normal with Exit Records, there’s no prejudice in the track selection. Well known producers such as Skream, Instra:mental, Scuba and Commix rub shoulders with some inspiring new talents such as Indigo, Synkro, Mode and Code 3. The theme of the album is quality timeless music, whether it be a dance floor killer such as Systems ‘Observation Point’ or Loxy and Resounds ‘Vertigo’ through to the tangerine dreamlike sounds of Croms ‘Invisible Cities’ or Stray’s ‘pushed’, this album truly represents the more experimental side of Drum and Bass as opposed to the crash bang wollop which seems to be the only side of Drum and Bass portrayed by the mainstream media today.
Hopefully this album will manage to reach the people that thought this forward thinking music was left behind in the nineties and let them know that it’s still alive and well and still capable of throwing up some surprising and unpredictable results.
Limited information, tracklists etc to come soon, but the formats and schedule will be as follows:
Two seperate 2-track 12″/10″ Samplers [EXIT025/026]
We Are Here returns with this soon-to-be classic two tracker from veteran producer Issac receiving strong support from both Sasha and John Digweed. “Pickles” focuses on strong melodies and well-structured late night grooves for something that is both danceable as well as emotionally evocative. On the flipside, “The Shield” retains the dark, late night vibe but opts for thundering tribal beats and restrained melodies that straddle the line between epic progressive house and the dirtier, physical strains of tech-house for an extremely memorable track.

Rony Seikaly – former NBA and current DJ and Production Superstar announces his debut artist album: Subliminal Essentials Presents: House Calls by Rony Seikaly out on Subliminal Records October 19, 2010. This digital-only release will be available on Beatport, Traxsource, iTunes and all other digital download outlets. After years of travelling the globe on the international DJ circuit, the Lebanese-born star, who made US his home on the court with the Miami Heat, now makes his home behind the turntables. With a thumping rhythm that carries throughout Seikaly takes you on a journey from the clubs of Ibiza to Miami, London, Paris, NYC and beyond. This is dance music with global influence. This is Rony’s dance music; in your ears, in your house.
Seikaly who earned the nickname “The Spin Doctor” while playing with the Miami Heat – will be bringing his signature brand of house music on the road with the House Calls US Tour (full dates TBA), launching October 23rd at LIV in Seiklay’s adopted home city Miami.
Seikaly released his first single “Come With Me” on August 3, 2010 which reached the House Top 40 on Beatport. Shortly after that he followed-up with a track titled “Let You Go” which released on September 9, 2010. Originally titled “Mila’s Theme” it plays as a tribute to his daughter. Both tracks are climbing the electronic charts and rocking dancefloors across the globe.
Speaking knowledgeably about various musical eras, Seikaly has an inherent understanding for the music that has inspired him and influenced his unique style. Dubbed “Rony Style” by such electronic music heavyweights Morillo, Seikaly himself loosely defines it as “happy underground.”
Seikaly himself is possibly the one having the most fun in any nightclub. His enjoyment in playing music and seeing the crowd’s reaction is a huge part of the experience. Although Seikaly has been a long time partner in numerous bars, lounges, and clubs around the Miami area (Bar None, Mynt, Mokai, Club Wall at the W Hotel), his talents go far beyond that locality. LIV (Miami), Spybar (Chicago), Pacha (NYC), Playhouse (LA), Queen (Paris), and Amnesia (Ibiza) are a few spots that have experienced Seikaly’s sought-after inimitable style. Tracklist
