Zombie Disco Squad
Righteous Sound ft Omar
Made To Play
19th March 2012
Ahead of the release of the debut Zombie Disco Squad album ‘Brains’ on Jesse Rose’s Made to Play, Nat Self hits the ground running in March with a new single ‘Righteous Sound’, featuring MOBO-nominated soul legend Omar.
A perfect taster for the album, the single does justice to its title. ‘Righteous Sound’ highlights Nat’s flair for classic house music. It is a stomping, infectious track featuring the distinctively rich vocals of Omar over the percussive groove you’ve come to expect from Zombie Disco Squad.
Streamlining the original’s catchiness into a no-nonsense party-starter is Jesse Rose’s edit, resulting in a truly heavy weight package.
A label with a deserved reputation for introducing some of house music most exciting artists, Made to Play’s policy of releasing just one album a year ensures the quality remains unquestionably high and ‘Brains’ follows in the footsteps of previous breakout long players from the likes of Riva Starr and Round Table Knights.
With a residency at Berlin’s Watergate for Made For The Night and huge international demand for his DJ skills, London-born Nat will be making some serious noise this year as Zombie Disco Squad.
