Major Look – Never Hold Us Back (Official Video)

Posted in News with tags , , , , , , on May 1, 2012 by E.N.

One of the most exciting new acts around, bass music duo Major Look continue to prove that – for once – you can believe the hype, with the release of their new single ‘Never Hold Us Back’ on 20th May.

The combination of Stapleton’s unmistakable swagger-laden vocals and Crystal Clear’s pin-point programming ensures that ‘Never Hold Us Back’ is another massive vocal Drum & Bass anthem. This is attitude fuelled stuff; something you can sure as hell rely on Major Look for.

Having made their name with releases on labels like DJ Hype’s Real Playaz, Major Look draw on a multitude of different influences and styles such as drum & bass, dubstep and reggae, presenting them in the only way they know how; loud and heavy.

With previous singles ‘Levels’ and ‘Hush Ya Gums’ supported by everyone from Radio 1 DJs Annie Mac, Huw Stephens and Mistajam through to Capital FM’s Andi Durrant, Major Look are bringing the undiluted sound of the underground to the masses, and no one’s going to hold them back.
Artist: MAJOR LOOK

Circulation – Turquoise (Guy J Remix) (Preview)

Posted in News with tags , , , , , , , , on May 1, 2012 by E.N.

For those with memory cells still intact and a love of classic tunes on 12″ black vinyl will no doubt remember the original version of “Turquoise” which originally saw a highly coveted limited edition colour coded release on Circulation’s own label (catalogue number CMP009 to be precise). Picked up and remixed for release on the legendary Hooj Choons label two years later, “Turquoise” is one of those special tunes that lovers of great music hold close to their hearts.
Now, over a decade later, who else but the melodic maestro – Guy J – has remixed this classic into what is surely going to become one of THE uplifting anthems of summer 2012. This is quite simply – heavenly – a remix masterpiece from one of the standout electronic artists in the world today.
Guy J is at the forefront of a movement towards the melody-rich and emotionally charged roots of the house music spectrum. He’s a young, innovative producer, DJ and live act, whose infectious production talents resulted in his amazing 3CD artist album (“1000 Words” Bedrock) being acclaimed as one of the musical highlights of 2011.
There are so many more exciting things to come from Guy J in 2012, but for now enjoy this superb, joyous, uplifting remix of “Turquoise”, a tune that will be making you smile all summer long!
