Om Unit Presents Cosmology Vol.3 continues its showcase of the label’s roster — with this year’s additions of J Kenzo, J(ay)A.D, and TMSV — and of the varied takes it offers on dubwise, electronic, and bass-heavy soundscapes and productions. “This is the best Cosmology yet for me,” says Om Unit. Produced by Danish classical pianist and composer Emil Svane Breum, under his alias The Swan And the Lake, with help from his sequencer and keyboards, Emil creates the perfect winter’s journey through the hypnotic world of ambient music and chilled electronica.
Already established within the chill scene, The Swan And The Lake has produced a timeless album that echoes the spirit of some of the more new age-minded artists of the Berlin School, as well as new contemporary classical composers.
‘Moments’ showcases Emil’s abilities for composing and producing sensitive soundscapes including two collaborations with guitarist Anders Brandt who delivers building grooves over Breum’s motionless ambient states. Loco Hot is a duo comprised of producer / drummer Tamir Muskat and singer Gilad Kahana. Born in Mexico, vocalist, composer, and author Kahana is the founder and lead singer of Girafot, a critically acclaimed Israeli rock band who went gold in 2006.

The duo avoided radio and mainstream media, instead developing their own ground-breaking tools to mount a viral campaign which generated millions of hits. “Magazines and blogs kept talking about our bizarre methods,” Muskat says. “It totally changed the game, especially coming from two established artists like us.”
