Bipolar Sunshine announces brand new single 'Daydreamer'Bipolar Sunshine will kick off 2015 with the release of a new single ‘Daydreamer’ released on 25th January followed by a UK headline tour in March and April.

Bipolar Sunshine is the Manchester raised alternative pop sound of Adio Marchant. With an eclectic new-age ambient soundscape and melancholy soulful lyrics, he conjures up the romance of escapism, drawing inspiration from life’s wonders and imperfections.

He has built an avid following through the release of two EPs and a collection of singles, most recently with ‘Deckchairs on the Moon’ and ‘Future (Part 1)’ ft. Goldlink, and with live shows, including support dates with the likes of A$AP Mob, London Grammar, Rudimental and Bastille, along with his own packed out headline shows and festival appearances.

New single ‘Daydreamer’ incorporates everything Bipolar Sunshine has become so known and so loved for. An atypical pop track, which blends both the despondent and the upbeat with intelligent and unique lyrics and a vast, all-encompassing chorus. The song is a collaboration with SBTRKT and was produced by Fraser T Smith (Adele, Lily Allen, Sam Smith)

Currently finishing work on his debut album, set to be released next summer, Bipolar Sunshine is heading out on his biggest UK headline tour to date in March and April next year. Bipolar Sunshine -Deckchairs On The Moon
After recently announcing his new single ‘Deckchairs on the Moon’ released on 13th July, Bipolar Sunshine has unveiled the video for the track, which is available to watch now

Directed by the up-and-coming Swiss director Karim Huu Do (Bombay Bicycle Club), the video is set in the striking and other-worldly surroundings of Teide National Park. The glistening sunshine and secluded locations make the setting the perfect accompaniment to the song and it is Bipolar Sunshine’s most awe-inspiring video yet.

Bipolar Sunshine has been working with Kid Harpoon (Florence And The Machine, Jessie Ware), Fraser T Smith (Adele, Lily Allen) and close producer 21-year-old Jazz Purple to put the finishing touches to his debut record.

Bipolar Sunshine -Deckchairs On The MoonBipolar Sunshine has announced his new single ‘Deckchairs on the Moon’, which will be released on 6th July with a double play as Zane Lowe’s ‘Hottest Record in the World’ on last night’s show.

In keeping with his fresh, idiosyncratic sound and conversational vocals, ‘Deckchairs on the Moon’ is a light-hearted and upbeat track with an incredibly addictive chorus that will almost definitely be sung en masse from the fields of Somerset to the shores of Ibiza this summer. It’s Bipolar Sunshine at his most charismatic.

Bipolar Sunshine is the solo project of Manchester’s Adio Marchant who with every release continues to impress and carve out his own singular path as one of the most exciting new artists to look out for in 2014. This summer he is set to step things up another gear with his new single and UK festivals performances including Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party and Reading & Leeds. He follows this with a headline tour in September and October including shows at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire and Manchester’s Ritz.

Bipolar Sunshine has been working with Kid Harpoon (Florence And The Machine, Jessie Ware), Fraser T Smith (Adele, Lily Allen) and close producer 21-year-old Jazz Purple to put the finishing touches to his debut record.

Duologue Announces North American Debut + Culture Collide and CMJ

Posted in News with tags , , , , , , , , on September 26, 2013 by dk

duologueUK quartet Duologue has announced the North American release of their debut album, Song and Dance, outOctober 22nd on Killing Moon Records. The five-piece band from London has been garnering praise for the record since its release abroad, with festival appearances at SXSW, Latitude, and End of the Road, and their music featured in shows such as CSI, Damages, and Teen Wolf. The band will return to the United States to perform in Los Angeles at Filter Magazine’s Culture Collide Festival in October, followed by a week of performances at CMJ’s Music Marathon in New York City.

Duologue’s journey began with two original members – Tim Digby-Bell (vocals) and Toby Leeming(vocals/live programming and beats) – producing on a computer whilst at Edinburgh University. Both realized that the sound they were creating was too big for just a couple of people to play. Seb Dilleyston(violin) was brought in to add emotive atmospheres on violin having previously trained with world renowned violinist Maria EitlerToby Lee was next on guitar, and then bassist Ross Stone completed the line-up.

Song and Dance is the culmination of a year’s preparation honing and self editing their eclectic sound and huge catalog of demos in preparation to record. Having already self-produced and released two EP’s showcasing their ability to encompass a wide range of sounds and references the final piece of the puzzle came with the introduction of producer Jim Abbiss (Adele, Arctic Monkeys, Ladytron). In 2012, the band and Jim holed up in a Chatham studio and began work – with many of the parts already formed and recorded, Jim took on a co-production role, intuitively helping them further enhance their sonic make-up.
