Introducing NERVO – Rising stars of the Global EDM scene

You may be seeing the name NERVO for the first time, or you may have seen the lovely Australian ladies opening for Britney Spears and Nicki Minaj earlier this summer, but their recent release for their single “We’re All No One” is not the Astralwerks/EMI duo’s first toe in the music industry water, so to speak. Already proud owners of two global undergound club hits, their breakthrough came when they wrote David Guetta’s smash hit “When Love Takes Over” featuring Kelly Rowland which reached #1 in 11 countries and went on to win a Grammy in 2010. Since then the girls, twin sisters Miriam “Mim” Nervo and Olivia “Liv” Nervo, have been collaborating a with a bevy stellar DJ talent of world-wide recording artists, including dance luminaries Steve Aoki, Avicii, Armin van Buuren, Kaskade, Afrojack, Laidback Luke, Dadalife and John Dahlback as well as penning pop hits for the likes of Ke$ha, Kylie Minogue, The Pussycat Dolls, Jennifer Hudson, and more.
Their multi-track digital single “We’re All No One” featuring Afrojack and Steve Aoki was released last week and is available on all digital music outlets, including iTunes, in the U.S. and Beatport globally. The single is their first release for label Astralwerks/ Virgin Records and is the duo’s first commercial solo release the features the two of them stepping up to the mic to perform vocals. The song is a marked departure in style and sound from their more underground dance floor productions of the past year, and showcases a daring new vision, that sets its sights on the future of pop, electro and dance synergies. Head over to Nervo’s Youtube channel to watch the lyric video for the single.
NERVO just completed a highly successful month of DJ dates, in which they launched a Las Vegas residency with the Wynn group, and energized audiences coast to coast as part Identity Festival, the first electronic music travelling roadshow in the U.S.

Multi-Track Single Tracklist
1. We’re All No One (Edit)
2. We’re All No One (Nervo Goes to Paris Remix)

4. We’re All No One (Dave Aude Club Mix)
5. We’re All No One (Jungle Fiction Remix)

Release Date: May 17th, 2011
Remixes Release Date: June 19th, 2011

2010 was an incredible breakthrough year for Swedish House Mafia; they sold a million singles worldwide, achieved an iTunes Number 1 Dance Album with Until One, and landed a #1 Billboard Dance hit with “Miami 2 Ibiza”. The trio also garnered 55 million Youtube views for their videos and over a million Facebook fans. Releasing an acclaimed documentary film “Take One” as well as an innovative iPad App, their success translated into sold out events  around the world in  hotspots like Miami, Las Vegas and Ibiza.

On to 2011 and Swedish House Mafia return with what will undoubtedly be one of the biggest records of the summer. Debuted at their groundbreaking Masquerade Motel event in Miami this spring (check out the amazing footage here), “Save The World” will be released digitally on May 17th.  In the US, the track will premiere on SiriusXM’s BPM, channel 51, at 9 PM EST on May 6th, followed by an exclusive taped broadcast of Swedish House Mafia’s set at Masquerade Motel Miami on SiriusXM’s Electric Area, channel 52.

“Save The World” will receive its UK live debut when the electronic three-piece headline (along with Foo Fighters) this year’s Radio One Big Weekend on May 14th. Their sold-out UK headline tour follows later in May (to an audience of 40,000 people over 4 dates!) and is set to raise the bar even higher with an amazing light show and special guests. Other chances to see the extravaganza this year include T In The Park, Oxegen and Creamfields.  This amazing live show will come to the US later this year when Swedish House Mafia headline the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas on June 26th, 2011.

The Postelles have announced a July 27th release date for their eponymous debut album on Astralwerks/Capitol Records. The quartet from the Upper West Side of Manhattan, who formed in high school and are currently still just 21 to 22 years of age, co-produced the 11-song album with the Stroke’s guitarist Albert Hammond Jr. For the last two years, The Postelles have been feverishly working towards the release of their first album and refining their sound by playing everywhere from small clubs to major festivals around the globe, garnering attention from fans and critics each step of the way.

“We’ve been working at this for quite a while and still have a long way to go, expressed front-man Daniel Balk. But we’re so excited to release this album, to get out there and continue to tour and share our music and hopefully help some people have a little fun while we’re at it.”

While citing influences as diverse as the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, Buddy Holly, Lou Reed and Sam Cooke, The Postelles are a difficult band to put in a box. One thing that critics agree on, is that The Postelles bring an element of refreshing fun and excitement to their catchy, upbeat tunes. Spin has said “they serve up a hooked-at-the-gills, head-bopping rock’n’roll groove,” while Rolling Stone has described The Postelles as “sounding like the wound-up early hours of what will be a long Saturday night on the town.” EW describes their sound as “sunny garage-bob,” with Q Magazine describes them as having “sheer charm and melodies that hook their way into your synapses and refuse to let go.”

In March The Postelles released a brand new EP White Night with three new songs, “White Night,” “Sleep on the Dance Floor,” and “Looking Glass,” and an exclusive remix of “Sleep on the Dance Floor” by Grizzly Bear’s Chris Taylor. To celebrate the release of White Night, the Postelles are giving away a free download of the title track on their website They are currently in the midst of a nationwide tour with Hockey, they will be playing Spaceland on Monday, April 12th, and then a show at Skidmore College with The Walkmen on April 23rd. The Postelles will head to the UK in May to play a run of shows that include a Support Tour with The Futureheads, two shows at Camden Crawl and a show at Club NME at Koko, before returning home to play Bonnaroo and a record release show on July 28th at their favorite hometown venue, the Bowery Ballroom. The quartet has also appeared at Lollapalooza, All Points West, Iceland Airwaves, SXSW and CMJ, and played recent gigs with Vampire Weekend, Yeasayer, and Fanfarlo. They are expected to announce another string of US summer tour dates soon. The Postelles consist of Daniel Balk (lead vocals, guitar), David Dargahi (lead guitar), John Speyer (bass) and Billy Cadden (drums).
