Electric Rescue – Lili EP (Bedrock)

Few French electronic music artists combine experience, avant-gardism and guaranteed success on dance floors as Electric Rescue (aka Antoine Husson) does. Having previously released tracks on Sven Vath’s Cocoon Recordings, Boys Noize Records, Sci + Tech, AFU limited, Communiqué, Subject and Sign Industry, he first unleashed his distinctive brand of ultra dynamic techno and sensuality on John Digweed’s Bedrock label at the tail end of 2011.
“Dope” (BEDDIGI13) was a huge tune for Laurent Garnier, Sasha, Secret Cinema, Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Dave Seaman, amongst a plethora of diverse DJs worldwide. Now Electric Rescue returns to Bedrock with the super-strong “Lili EP”, featuring three killer tunes.
“Lili” has all the ingredients to be a massive tune all summer long. Combining melodic techno attitude with a big room mentality, it has all the right ingredients. Already a huge tune in John Digweed’s sets, this is going to explode to anthem status worldwide over the coming months. With the equally exciting “Opened Hands” and “Science” revealing an experimental and diverse side to the Electric Rescue musical palette, this is a very exciting EP package indeed.
Electric Rescue’s reputation is already flying high in France through his residency at the Rex Club (Skryptöm parties) and organising the “Play” rave parties in Paris, Antoine Husson is most definitely a man to watch in 2012.

Secret Cinema debut album Minerals on Gem Records

Posted in News with tags , , , , , , , on March 16, 2011 by dk

Jeroen Verheij has been churning out dance floor smashing tracks for almost as long as many of today’s clubbers can remember under his aliases Secret Cinema, Grooveyard and Meng Syndicate to name a few. Tracks like Timeless Altitude, Mary Go Wild (EC Records) and Kurzweil (Cocoon) invoke warm memories in many of us. In December of 2009 Verheij set up his own label ‘Gem Records’ and started to release the unique sound he is famous for as a DJ. Now, just over a year later, Gem releases its first full- length album!

The tracks on Secret Cinema’s ‘Minerals’, are inspired by the hardness, color and material of various minerals. CD1 consists of dance floor hammering tech-house and techno as we have come to expect from Secret Cinema. With contributions from Ramon Tapia, Egbert and m0h, timeless gems are guaranteed once again! Alongside these dancefloor friendly tracks are some more abstract jams. All is woven together in a powerful continuous mix on CD (with download voucher for single tracks) and all tracks are available separately on vinyl and download.

The Second CD is an ambient mix consisting of the sounds that form the base of the tracks on CD1, mixed with bizarre instruments, tuning forks and other sounds. Dirk-Jan Hanegraaff and Robert Kroos also known as Mental Youth, collaborated with Verheij on this creation. Perfect for relaxation after the party on CD1.
Some say this could be some of his best work of the past 18 years as one of the Netherland’s top techno producers!

SIAN v PSYCATRON
Vertigo Of The Modern

Release: 17/01/11

For those of you who remember Sian’s outstanding ‘Dreams Are Maps’ on Bedrock Digital last summer and Psycatron’s stunning remix of Mutant Clan’s ‘Persuader’ on John Digweed’s ‘Structures’ album, you will no doubt be chomping at the bit to get your ears around the first must-have tag-team release of 2011. This is HOT!!!!!
Sian’s feverish style and raw sound brings real voodoo to the dancefloor and his trademark aesthetics are hard to match. Regarded as one of the most promising upcoming acts in the techno scene today, Sian is already touring the world, rocking heaving crowds and bringing his trademark experimental DJing style to the masses via multiple outputs of explosive techno,fx and loops, cut up and edited live. His tracks instantly catch the ears of everyone from John Digweed, Laurent Garnier, Luciano, Richie Hawtin, Sasha, Loco Dice, Steve Bug to Carl Cox, Secret Cinema, Hernan Cattaneo, Dubfire, and have shown how a genre busting talent crosses over stylistic boundaries with ease. That is why he is so suited to the Bedrock label, with its forward-thinking music policy.
When you have interests ranging from entomology, cosmology and marine biology to psychoacoustics and the social impact of the rave generation, you tend to make unusual art. Born in Dublin, Ireland, raised gypsy style in southern Spain and constantly moving from city to city, Sian chose early to drop out of normal society, make music and DJ. Adhering more to the avant-garde way of life, he stands out as a little more bohemian than the average electronic artist, a rare, flamboyant and eccentric new talent, and one we would urge you to investigate further. Sian is a truly diverse and original talent.
Psycatron, aka Northern Irish duo Paul Hamill & Dave Oost Lievense, produce 21st century techno with tracks that combine relentless energy and groove with bundles of emotion and tension, to make for an all-encompassing sound that is perfect for those big arenas and club rooms. Their high profile productions are released on some of the world’s most respected labels, receiving props from some of the biggest names in the business and record sales flying high in the Beatport charts. Fergie (Rekluse), Carl Craig (Planet E), Christian Smith (Tronic), Will Saul (Simple), legendary Belgian label R&S Records, have all featured stunning Psycatron tracks, so it seems fitting that they have now linked up with Bedrock.
As the list of Psycatron supporters continues to grow, it starts to read like a who’s who of quality underground electronica with everyone from Ewan Pearson to Joris Voorn, DJ Hell, Dave Clarke and even Martin L Gore from Depeche Mode all getting on board.

“These guys are fantastic, definitely a name to look out for” – John Digweed
“I LOVE Psycatron” – Laurent Garnier
“Psycatron is one of the acts of the year” – Agoria

Sian’s feverish style and raw sound brings real voodoo to the dancefloor and his trademark aesthetics are hard to match. The energetic ‘Dreams Are Maps’, which appears on John Digweed’s critically acclaimed new ‘Structures’ mix compilation, now receives its own single release complete with a brand spanking new rework by Sian himself and two stripped back treatments from We Love… Space resident Paul Woolford.

Regarded as one of the most promising upcoming acts in the techno scene today, Sian is already touring the world, rocking heaving crowds and bringing his trademark experimental DJing style to the masses via multiple outputs of explosive techno,fx and loops, cut up and edited live.
