Multiverse Music is proud to announce the launch of a new imprint, World Of Wonders aka W.O.W! Joining the ranks of Tectonic, Kapsize, Build, Caravan, Subtext and Earwax – W.O.W is a home for Bristolian purple w0w’er Gemmy to showcase his infectious beats and production talent.

Having first appeared on Peverelist’s highly respected Punch Drunk imprint, Gemmy soon went on to release a number of underground dancefloor belters on the seminal Planet Mu imprint. Having established his particular shade of purple w0w alongside Bristol production peers Joker and Guido, Gemmy’s beats lean more to a dancefloor heavy cut.

Built to make the speakers bleed both ‘Jah Know’ and ‘They Live Under The Stairs’ cut through a system crisp, clean and deadly. Gemmy may have been quiet on the release front recently but it’s clear here that he’s been fine tuning his skills in the studio to devastating effect. Drop these riddims in your set and you’ll see the effects for yourself. Quality music made for the dance, perfectly executed. 2011 is going to be a good year for Gemmy, watch him rise up.

DJ Support from –

Gemmy’s official label launch night will take place the 1st of June at Basement 45, Bristol (UK)

The pioneering project from Multiverse boss James Ginzburg, aka Ginz, and the DJ and curator Paul Purgas returns with second album ‘Demiurge’. Following their recent collaborative release with Underground Resistance vocalist Cornelius Harris, the album continues directly on from where their eponymous debut longplayer left off, pursuing the duo’s exploration of the legacy of sound system culture and the possibilities for experimental bass driven music.
