Snakehips – ‘On & On (Video)(Kaytranada Remix Stream) out 27.06.13

London-based production duo Snakehips present their debut release ‘On & On’ – an impressive musical slice of electronica, featuring the sultry vocals of hotly tipped Australian beauty, George Maple. Having recently been compared to the likes of Jessie Ware and Sade, Maple’s dulcet tones fit seamlessly within ‘On & On’. Combining the sounds of hip-hop and soulful R&B, ‘On & On’ is an impressive and memorable track in what is set to be a staple sound of the summer. To accompany the release Snakehips will be releasing 250 copies of ‘On & On’ on limited edition 12 inch vinyl featuring the original and the exclusive Snakehips edit. The digital release will also feature a remix from 20-year-old Canadian producer ‘Kaytranada’.

For now, Snakehips have opted to stay anonymous and remain in the shadows but their music has been doing all the work creating early ripples of attention. Their quirky, bass-heavy remix of Bondax’s single ‘Gold’ and their mix of Wild Belle’s single ‘It’s Too Late’, racked up over one million YouTube plays each, both scoring No.1 on Hype Machine. Snakehips also posted online their soul-infused, sample-based stunners, ‘Miss You Always’ and ‘Bliss’, which have both been championed by production maestro Flume.
