Mensah turns up the heat on the flipside, reimagining the original’s melodics & infecting them with his signature robust high energy funk.

Superisk Biography

Superisk has been lurking on the Bristol underground music scene for a number of years, playing his unique 140bpm crossover sets to a range of unsuspecting crowds. He is a resident at the Sureskank Convention, a long established club night that has consistently supported the underground sounds of Grime and Dubstep in the city. Many people know Superisk from late night sessions at, the now sadly closed, Tube club, home to so many of Bristol’s specialist dance music events,

Spending formulative years immersed in MPCs and gritty breakbeats, London’s Grime evolution became an inspiration. Superisk began forging his warped sonic synthesis into his own musical visions.

Now, finally, the scene is set for his productions to see the light of day with his debut 12” due on the Punch Drunk label in Autumn 2010. Along with his solo productions, Superisk has been collaborating with Bristol based Hip Hop For Ravers, Central Spillz, recently completing their forthcoming debut album, ‘Space Travel’.

Mensah Biography

Visit Bristol and mention the name Mensah, the chances are that someone’s going to know the man you’re talking about. Having become involved in the Bristol music scene at an early age, there’s no surprise that he epitomizes the great things associated with the city’s music – positivity, progression and originality.

Growing up listening to his Mum’s dub and reggae collection, his first taste of UK underground music was going to the under-18 night ‘Jungle Book’ at the tender age of 11, witnessing the late and great Steve ‘Hyper’ D. It was the garage scene though that really kindled Mensah’s first love of dance music and Mensah still cites the productions of Wookie and the dj sets of Heartless Crew’s DJ Fonti as a major influence.

DJing himself at various nights in Bristol, the natural progression for Mensah was to start creating his own music. Aspiring to never make the same tune twice or wanting to be typecast into any one genre, Mensah pushes whatever sound he decides to take forward – a melting pot of dubstep, grime, and pure dancefloor energy.

Releases ‘Pulse 80’s’ and ‘Untitled Future Funk EP’ on Hench have established the Mensah name but this is just the beginning.
