PVT – Window taken from Church WIth No Magic +free download Dorian Concept and Danimals remix

PVT’s Single ‘Window’ from their new album Church With No Magic, puts singer Richard Pike’s vocals at the forefront for the first time and is typical of the dense collisions of PVT’s sound world. It’s a heady combination of vocal experimentation, swirling keyboard arpeggios and pounding drums, all topped by the band’s adeptness for emotive harmony and clear melodic punch, distilled into three minutes.

Two very talented artists have remixed the track & these remixes have been made available for free download. They are:

DORIAN CONCEPT
Suspending the frenetic urgency of PVT’s original concept, Austrian beat professor Dorian Concept holds ‘Window’ in a kaleidoscopic: seemingly pulling apart the song from the tape it was recorded on and filling the gaps with the flittering modal-jazz warmth he lent to Flying Lotus on Cosmogramma, their Brainfeeder collaboration and previous remixes for Jamie Lidell & Three 6 Mafia.

DANIMALS
Danimals is the first Australian act to sign to Stones Throw Records. The US indie label famous for it’s underground hip hop signings is home to Madlib, Mayer Hawthorne, Dam-Funk and others.

Danimals got a major profile boost when their song is used for a national TV advertising campaign. The song was written and recorded with help from a bunch of new friends including producer Mark Ronson, Santigold and Sean Lennon in New York.
