Onra – 1.0.8

Posted in Hip Hop, Loops, Promotions on February 27, 2009 by J.D.

Onra – 1.0.8
I wanted to release these beats for a few good reasons:
– First, they still make me nod my head.
– Second, if I didn’t do it now, they’d died in my computer just like hundreds of others.
– Third, I only used Indian samples to make this project. Of course it is not promoted as it,because of “you-know-who”, who did it before! 🙂
But what can I do? When I find a bunch of good indian samples that inspire me, am I supposed to not use them just because someone sampled Bollywood music already?
Plus I tried my best to make them not sound “clichĂ©”.

Using only Indian samples makes the project more coherent.
I could have added a lot of different flavors, but this would’nt have sounded like an album, more like a beattape.
So… that’s it…
I hope you’ll like it.
Please give me your feedbacks, positive or negative, it is always good to hear.
If you loved it, please spread the word.

We choosed 5 tracks(inside read me info) from Onras album, if you like it as much as we do,buy it

EMI Music Debuts First iTUNES Pass With Depeche Mode

Posted in News on February 24, 2009 by J.D.

EMI MUSIC DEBUTS FIRST iTUNES PASS WITH DEPECHE MODE

U.S. FANS TO HAVE ACCESS TO NEW AND EXCLUSIVE SINGLES, REMIXES, VIDEO AND OTHER CONTENT OVER COMING WEEKS

INCLUDES DEPECHE MODE’S UPCOMING 12TH STUDIO ALBUM, “SOUNDS OF THE UNIVERSE,” PLUS ADDITIONAL EXCLUSIVE CONTENT RELEASED ON iTUNES

EMI Music today announced the debut of the first iTunes Pass with groundbreaking electro legends Depeche Mode. With iTunes Pass, music fans can get new and exclusive singles, remixes, video and other content from their favorite artists over a set period of time, delivered to their libraries as soon as they’re available.

The first iTunes Pass debuts today in conjunction with Depeche Mode’s forthcoming 12th studio album, “Sounds of the Universe,” to be released on April 21 in the US. Fans who sign up starting today get the alternative/dance pioneers’ new single, “Wrong,” as well as the Black Light Odyssey Dub Remix of the new track “Oh Well.” They will also receive the new album on its street date plus great music and video exclusives before and after the album’s release over the next fifteen weeks. The Depeche Mode iTunes Pass can be purchased starting today for $18.99.

“As we work to better understand music consumers and help create stronger connections between fans and artists, we are pleased to work with Apple and Depeche Mode to kick off iTunes Pass,” said Ronn Werre, president, Music Services for EMI Music. “We think it’s a great new platform that will change the way artists engage with their audiences and also a powerful new way for us to build value for our artists’ music. And with iTunes Pass, Depeche Mode are once again demonstrating that they are true trailblazers and innovators when it comes to creating amazing music and connecting with their fans.”

“iTunes Pass is a great way for artists to give exclusive music and video, on their own schedule, directly to their fans.” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s vice president of Internet Services. “iTunes customers are going to love getting additional content directly from their favorite artists right when they make it available.”

“The relationship between Depeche Mode and their fans has always been our top priority,” said the band’s manager, Jonathan Kessler. “We are thrilled to be the first to participate with Apple in giving fans the kind of deep musical experience they expect from Depeche Mode.”

Today also marks the launch of the worldwide iTunes album pre-order for “Sounds of the Universe.”

As one of the most influential bands of the post-punk era with global sales in excess of 100 million, Depeche Mode belongs to a select premier league of supergroups who have survived from the early 1980s with their ideals, creative vision and core members intact. Formed in 1981, Depeche Mode – Martin Gore, Dave Gahan and Andy ‘Fletch’ Fletcher – continue to win critical and commercial acclaim across the world both in the studio and on the road. All of the band’s 11 studio albums have reached the Top Ten in not only the UK and USA but 20 plus countries around the world including Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, and Belgium. Since their inception, Depeche Mode’s live shows continue to be a must-see attraction, with the group playing to 2.8 million people across 31 countries on their last tour alone.

*Extra Promo* Tom Dazing -"Wasp Cocktail"

Posted in *Introducing, Acid, Artists Profile, Promotions, Techno on February 24, 2009 by J.D.

Probably you remember Winx(Josh Wink)Acid Minimal sound from the 90s,Tom Dazing bring us back! Thanks 2 Veryverywrongindeed Recordings we have this just for you!

“Wasp Cocktail”
Tom Dazing
Veryverywrongindeed Recordings – VVWI012
Release Date: 02 Mar 2009

Tom Dazing -“Wasp Cocktail”
1. Wasp Cocktail
2. Microstrip
3. Microstrip [Sierra Sam & Marcus Vector Mix]

About
He’s one of VVWI’s secret weapons. Belgian producer Tom Dazing’s fans include Hawtin, Wink, Gabriel Ananda, Seth Troxler, Dominik Eulberg, Marco Bailey, Ambivalent, Skoozbot, RedHead – and of course Andre Crom, who introduced Tom to us in the first place. He’s only been releasing since 06 but he’s already had several releases on Belgium’s fantastic Toysforboys, as well as Coincidence, Heimatmelodie, Maison Digitale, MB Selektions, Aesthetik, Red Factory, and now Veryverywrongindeed.

It’s called Wasp Cocktail EP after the acid lead track. But there’s also Microstrip, a take on the jackin’ sound that’s just as rough and live-sounding as Dazing’s live sets (which he describes as “forcing old-school drum elements into subtle, slinky grooves and all-out raving madness”). And then to reverse that, we’ve got a much darker, smoother and more electronic remix from Sierra Sam and Marcus Vector, the head honchos of Toysforboys (we told you it was good), as well as also between them having a residency at Tresor and running Contexterrior, TuningSpork, Nomor and Obsolete.

Posted in Electro, Electro Breaks, Promotions on February 22, 2009 by J.D.

We’ve got a new Don Diablo track and remix for Plump DJs for you (high quality MP3s), which you can download through the following Mediafire links

“Don Diablo – Work Work Work”
For those who haven’t noticed yet, “Work Work Work” is all Don Diablo (www.myspace.com/dondiablo) does! He’s been unleashing forthcoming releases like there’s no tomorrow. A few months ahead of release, you can get a first taste of his latest work, “Don Diablo – Work Work Work”, right here! Don’s forthcoming release “Too Cool For School” got its first spin this week on BBC Radio 1 (UK) as part of HervĂ©’s Essential Mix and was featured in last week’s ”CSI: NY” on CBS! That’s a great start, as promo still has to start! Free promo goodies for this release coming to a blog near you soon!
“Plump DJs – Beat myself up (Don Diablo ReRub)”
Stop the press: Don Diablo (www.myspace.com/dondiablo) beats up the Plump DJs! Well, not really, but he does deliver this hot remix for their latest single “Beat myself up” on Finger Lickin’. Adding more funk, more bassline and more freakiness, Don does what he does best: take the track into a totally different direction without losing the feel of the original! At the moment Don is working on a remix for UK rockband ”Little Man Tate” on Skint and he just finished a mix for the Stereo MC’s.

Martyn – Great Lengths

Posted in Dub Step, Electronic, Grime on February 21, 2009 by J.D.

Bass addicts take note: Martyn is set to release his Great Lengths album on his own 3024 imprint in March.

Martijn Deykers been making waves in both the techno and dubstep communities with his previous releases as Martyn, impressing Francois K so much, for instance, that he was invited to take over his Deep Space party in New York for the entire night. However you might classify the music that he produces, Martijn is keen to avoid pigeonholing his own material. “I think what makes music interesting is when an artist incorporates his/her influences and translates it into a unique sounding style,” he explains. “Although it might sound a tad arrogant, I’d like to think of my music as ‘Martyn music.’ I try not to think of it as dubstep or techno, or house or drum & bass—it’s not about genres, it’s about music. This way I feel more freedom to make the music I want to make.”

Indeed, the hallmarks that made his previous records stand out so much are all present here: the floating Detroit-esque pads, stuttering broken beats and dubwise basslines—but there are a few surprises. “Little Things” chugs along at a casual 117 BPM, whilst Martijn indulges himself with an epic beatless synth workout on “Brilliant Orange.” There’s even a solo piano piece breaking up the album, as well as two vocal contributions from dBridge and Kode9’s right hand man, Spaceape.

As with all of the previous releases on his 3024 label, the artwork has been done by Martijn’s old friend from Eindhoven, Erosie. Martijn is keen to emphasise their co-ownership of the work, explaining that “because it’s an album, people will focus on the music, but the artwork means just as much as the music does. Erosie’s unique graphic style is 3024, and the music is 3024: Great Lengths represents music for the ears as well as for the eyes.”

Phonica starts a record label

Posted in News on February 20, 2009 by J.D.

Celebrated London record retailer Phonica Records will put its money where its mouth is (or something like that) when it opens a record label of its own in mid-March.

The aptly titled Phonica Records will unleash its first 12-inch with Phonica employee Hector in tandem with Ben Bryant. The tune is called “Tension,” and is described by the PR as “a masterclass in suspense and hypnosis.” Will Saul and Brendon Moeller would no doubt agree—they charted the record late last year. On remix duty for this two-tracker? None other than dubstepper Appleblim in collaboration with fellow Bristol resident Al Tourettes.(RA)

Just like Juno, soon we will have Phonica too, great!
Good Luck!!!
